• ICT is the main driver of the new Digital Economy and information its new currency!

    The Global Information Technology (GIT) report 2016, states that “Information Communication Technology (ICT) is the backbone of the fourth industrial revolution”, with the future of businesses depending more than ever on whether they embrace digital technologies. 

    State of Digital Technologies

    The rapid expansion of the IoT has pushed the use of digital technologies within businesses to new horizons. Originally information was isolated to mostly paper and certain technology like the computer or storage media (CD’s, USB,s). 

    Now with the exponential advances of technology (hardware/software), core operating systems have been placed to record, monitor and control the required information; giving better sharing and access capabilities. Nevertheless, this has not eliminated the production of physical documents. In addition the two environments will only be successfully linked with the correct use of metadata.
